COUDERSPORT, PA – Citizens & Northern Bank has donated $500 to the Coudersport Volunteer Fire Department to assist in the department’s efforts to raise funds for new equipment.
C&N Coudersport Branch Manager Michael Wetzel presented the check to Brian Wilson, fire department president.
The Coudersport Volunteer Fire Department was founded in 1885 to protect downtown Coudersport following several devastating fires. The current membership accounts for hundreds of years of experience and the average member has belonged to the fire department for 20 or more years.
“Citizens & Northern is pleased to show its support for this all-volunteer department. Its members have given countless hours of dedicated, selfless service to our local community,” said Wetzel. “We hope others will follow suit and continue to support our local firefighters.”
